Diego Sanchez is a brash young man who bounced from foster home to foster home before being taken in by socially-conscious Courtney Matthews. Diego was actually raised by his sister Maria until the age of ten, at which point she was deported back to Mexico and Diego was thrown into the system. Because he's had to spend his formative years depending upon no one but himself, he's become hard and embittered on the outside, but underneath that we see a good, friendly soul
